How do you estimate Volunteer hours???

Ok, so here's my dilema.

I know for a fact that I've done a heck of a lot of volunteering. But the thing is, I've done a big chunck of it with a group- church group, dance group, community service club, volunteens club, etc. Does this count as hours?

And if so, how can I estimate it well? I've moved three times during high school and so its kind of hard to find accurate records of my volunteer activies. I'm pretty sure its around 250+ hours, since I've done at least one outreach program per month with the church, about 8 or 9 performances with my dance group for free at multiple functions (cancer walks, nursing homes, etc.), both community service club and volunteens (same club, different schools, and hence, different names) at least 3 hours per week. I also volunteered by myself at a nursing home for a couple hours a week and at a used book store that helps the homeless with AIDS 4 hours per week for a few months.

If I estimate wrong, will I get in trouble? Lol, I know it seems like a silly question, and I really want to be accurate but its hard. Its not like I'm pullilng these experiences out of a hat- they all happened. But I hate wearing watches, so..

HELP! :)

Colleges are not going to go back and verify each of your volunteer activities. Do your best to estimate the hours and include short descriptions of what you did (like you wrote above), and you should be fine

I know when I did mine, I grabbed an old calendar to give me an idea of how many things I did. But as tanman said, estimation is fine, as long as it is pretty close to what you actually did.
