How Do You Explain An Injury??

Where in the application are u able to explain an injury and how it made you stop playing a sport?

hey mattta. haven't applied yet, but im writing an essay on mine.

I wrote about mine in an essay

do you have to give them medical records or something?

No...example:

I blew out my knee completely the first week of Cross Country sophomore year (early August). After the three ensuing surgeries that I had, which left me on crutches for 7 months and missing a lot of school for therapy and doctors appointments, I didnt suit up for an official contest ever again in HS. For someone who did cross country, basketball, soccer, and softball in their respective seasons (soccer year round) since I was five, it was a huge blow to me. I wrote about the difficulties of missing school while maintaining a competitive GPA, rank, etc., and having a HUGE void to fill. My injuries to my knee led to my major in Athletic Training. Of course I eventually changed majors and now want to work in Marketing (sports, that is), but my injuries directly influenced my choice of major from first-hand experience.

That's basically a summary of my essay.
