How do you fast dance? Like at high school dances when they play the fast songs? What are the steps? tips? Thanks!!!

Move your hips and swing your arms? Idk that's what my friends told me when we went to prom

what type of fast dance, like deep bass techno music b/c I know our school was much more into grinding, so...

grinding is where it's at...

you got that right :D

emma what do u mean by fast dance????????? Cause there is poppin ya know u pop ya a$$ and the boy gets behind u..b.k.a as grinding soo umm just explain what u mean by fast dance..

Just dance. It's all about confidence. Actually knowing what you're doing will come with time.

At most dances people just grind.

Feel the beat. And do what your instincts tell you.

Grinding is stupid. It shows that you do not know how to dance, that you can only move one part of your body in a linear direction, and girls do not like it.

Yesterday, I danced like never before. I felt comfortable because it was in a professional environment (attended by high-profile leaders and was strictly monitored) where almost everyone had a sense of propriety. The dance was a combination of free-style, salsa, electric (step dance), tango, and other ethnic styles (Sri Lankan, Indian, etc.). I now have a better idea of what it means to "be free" and to really express oneself through body movements. I thought I danced pretty well.. I absolutely did not expect certain movements to come from me. SBR and me.duh are correct. You have to let go but still exhibit some decency.. I agree that grinding is pathetic (it's not "dancing"). Do guys actually rub their you know what against girls' butts? To get an erection or something?

I personally (girl perspective here) don't like grinding. Its just....weird...and basically tells me that the guy doesn't know any other way to dance. I mean, you can dance, and not have (as my friend calls it) sex with your clothes on.

If you're white, don't worry. Only black people can dance.

OBVIOUSLY I'm just kidding (Chappelle's show anyone?), but I can't say; I can't dance; if you're doing something fast at least recruit some motor units in those muscles....

Truth.
I'm extremely white :)

Most girls dont mind grinding. After all they participate in it.

copy what everyone else is doing that way you don't look stupid.

Yeah, at prom and other hs dances, grinding, gyrating, and (i forget my friend's word for it) and then repeat everything for a couple hours and there you have it. I don't participate but my girl friends have no problem unless the guy rubbing behind them is someone they abhor. I've noticed that AP guys get real desperate at prom, like the ones who couldn't find dates and even the ones with dates. It's like...prom is time for nerds to compensate for their deprivation all these years. The horror

And guys, do you get an erection while grinding on the dance floor? I asked my friend if she felt any extra appendages other than his arms and legs while dancing, she said no, but...

Whatever you do, don't do the Elaine Dance (Seinfeld)...

No, guys do not get erections on the dance floor.
