<p>Have you been affected by affirmative action? Have you seen the personal impact of these policies?</p>

<p>There is a wide range of opinions on the effectiveness and fairness of race-based affirmative action in college admissions. Some think it promotes equal opportunity and helps those in need; others think it is discriminatory and hurts the intended beneficiaries.</p>

<p>I am working on a PBS documentary to explore this issue from a personal angle. This project will include a brief history of the origins of affirmative action, but the emphasis will be on stories from individuals who are impacted by these policies.</p>

<p>Do you have an experience with affirmative action? Were you accepted because of it? Did you feel empowered? Stigmatized? Were you denied admission because of race? How has this changed your life?</p>
