How do you get into Frat parties at UC Berkeley?

I just got accepted to UC Berkeley as a freshmen. I was wondering what I will need to do to get into frat parties at cal. Do they let everyone in? Do you have to pay?
I also doubt this is true but some people say only white people are allowed to enter. Is this really true?

I know next to nothing about frats, but my 10 or so non-white friends in frats would certainly dispute the second statement.
