how do you get rid of slump posture

my shoulders are always in a slump position which makes my posture look pretty bad...

what can i do to fix this?

work out your back with weights, do chin ups, and do some bench presses. Also stand tall and practice having a straighter posture.

how do you get taller? im 5'8 trying to be at least 5'10 !!

my mom always tell me to stop slumping
so i started squating with weights, and it tremendously improve my back strength and posture, and it helped straigten my spine, and increase ur height by 2 inches

good posture= 2 inch increase

its works

^
It depends. If student is an athlete and have been doing sports for more than a year, he/she should have a good posture and squatting with weights won't help

Walk as if you're trying to see something far away over other people's heads.

ahhhh me too =( my shoulders are so ..slopey. i see the old ladies bent over a cane and im like.. mom.. that's going to be me.

When you're walking, focus on keeping your back straight. After a little while, it'll turn out ok.

not only walking straight, but also lift weights in rear deltoid and back area. this way, your shoulder alignment will automatically be moved backed because you're building muscle in the back of your body, and that will help you walk straight.

My little so-cal biotch is only 5'8"?! LOL

man..im a girl who's 5'9" with not the best posture but i dont want to be any taller than what i am now

change your attitude on life... the world isn't going to end. and if it does, big deal. chin up.

Just make a good concious effort to improve posture.. About getting taller, I have no information regarding this. I dare say that 5'8'' is about the perfect height for girls.

Did u guys know that 5'8" is the average height for men? Pretty short.

Yup. Dutch men are 6'0'' average though.

Do u know Swedish? Cuz Im mostly Swedish.

And?.......

And what?? I asked u a question.

I meant...So what?

this is a bit random, but if you go to a tackstore website (for horse stuff) they have elasticey shoulder things to help you keep your shoulders back, because when you ride you have to keep your shoulders back. They go under your clothes, I think, and they pull on your shoulders. I'll try to find a link for one.
