Chinatown, NYC? Im planning to visit BU over my break and I was wondering if anyone knew how to get to BU from chinatown. Right now I plan on taking one of those chinatown buses to boston. But I dont know where to go from there, I mean, does the bus drop you off in chinatown, boston? I have a small idea of how to get there, but I dont want to get lost. Any help is appreciated.

it drops you off at south station which is really close to Ctown. You just get off the bus, take the escalators downstairs, and get on the red line. Take it inbound to Park Street, get off and switch to the green line, outbound on a B train. BU has a bunch of stops to get off on.

Im gonna assume that youve taken one of those chinese buses for. How long does it usually take to get from ct to boston? Also, how is the area surrounding chinatown?, is there anything to do?

Chinatown is sketchy at night so don't go there alone. It's not as cool as the chinatown in NYC obviously, but most of the restaurants don't ID so that's cool.

It depends on where you're coming from CT...it's hard to tell. I guess somewhere in the 2-3 hr range by car, 3-4 hrs by bus.

i take the chinatown bus (fung wah or lucky star) between boston and ny all the time, and its really good. its cheap (15 dollars each way), and fast (usually 4 hours), and its really not sketchy like everyone makes it out to be. i've had much worse experience on greyhound than the chinatown bus. also the bus doesnt really let you off in chinatown in boston, it lets you off at south station, and its really easy to get to bu from there, just take the red line two stops to park street and switch to the green line to kenmore square (or bu east central or west if you get the b line). if you want to hang out in boston either go chill by bu to get a feel for the school or go to the north end where there is really good italian food.
