How Do YOu Get To Dartmouth from Out Of State

Dartmouth is a great school - but I live on the west coast. It looks like a long drive from the Boston airport. When school is starting up, or winter break is beginning - does Dartmouth organize buses to the airports? Which one is most popular for long distance travelers?

IN other words, is it difficult to travel to Dartmouth if you aren't from the Northeast?

My D flies home out of logan. Dartmouth coach runs daily from right in front of the Hanover inn to Logan airport. The cost is $55 round trip.

Thank you very much for the info!!!!

I usually fly into Manchester and take Vermont Transit (www.vermonttransit.com) to campus.

It isn't difficult at all -- Vermont Transit (from Manchester) and Dartmouth Coach (from Boston) make it very easy. However, the price can get pretty steep traveling from the West Coast. My biggest recommendation is to book in advance. Also, when you get to Dartmouth and figure out your classes, book your return flight home as soon as you know your schedule for finals.

Granted, I'm not from the West Coast, but I can usually get cheap flights through Orbitz or StudentUniverse (www.studentuniverse.com).

if you need a car service from manchester due to missing bus time or
too many people or luggage weve used

eric and staff have been great for us over the last two years

Thanks for the tip. I have been wondering if there was another alternative to the bus system from Manchester. What is the average cost to go to Dartmouth from the airport?

Im from Southern California, and I usually take a flight to boston (no layovers, its quicke) and then in take the coach to campus.....its so easy and you get used to it quickly.
