What do you guys do with your laundry that can't be put in the dryer? Is line drying and option and where would you do it?

Hang it out your window nbd lol

Get a drying rack for your room (you can find them at Target, etc). I think my roommate and I went through three total in four years - they aren’t the sturdiest things ever built, ha ha! I never put very much stuff in the dryer, so the rack really came in handy. The dryers in my dorm did a surprisingly good job though, so I did start using them more in the end.

I say a drying rack but you’ll have to check with your room mate about that. Not many people would want a drying rack in their room :P

All the drying racks I’ve owned fold up easily and can be stored under the bed or in the closet. The drying rack is only “set up” when you have things you need to dry - luckily everything dries crazy fast, so it’s not like the rack is going to be sitting out for days on end. We would usually just put it up overnight and take it down in the morning. Simple! : -)

If you loft your bed high enough, you can also put your wet clothes on hangers and hang them on the squiggly wire pattern that the mattress sits on

If U loft… can someone elaborate on how high the beds are/can be? Varying heights? Is there a ladder? Thnx!

You can loft your bed to be pretty much any height… My roommate and I did bunk beds freshman year, but after that we kept the beds firmly on the ground. There isn’t a ladder, so climbing up to your bed gets awkward and annoying after the initial excitement of sleeping high off the ground wears off, ha ha. If you keep your bed on the ground, you can also raise it higher by moving it up a few slots on the frame (this will make sense when you see the bed). That way you can still have some additional storage space under your bed without lofting it. If you’re afraid of heights, I don’t recommend lofting at all, lol!

Thnx, Jambaby! I really don’t see any way around it :-/

^wait, there are ladders, but at the ends of the bed holder. What I would do is that keep the bed raised relatively high, so that you can put a folding couch mattress at the bottom. It’s comfy and you can put your drying rack there by portioning the space underneath the bed. You can portion the space by curtaining half of it for the drying rack space so that you and the roomate doesn’t have it in plain view. Don’t keep it near walls b/c of moss or something b/c you want those clothes to have circulating air for them to actually smell clean. Oh and the place that u study (on the other side of the curtain below the mattress) you can have a lamp that helps you study when your roomate has problems with you having the light on (that is if you have another curtain to shield the entire bottom of the under-the-bed space)
