how do you guys do History?

Hi, I rarely post but thought I could help out. If you are using Alan Brinkley's book///
1. The "brinkley" has a book that accompanies it called the AP Achiever. has outlines/summaries look it up on amazon. like 17$
2. there is a website which goes with the brinkley... google it use the publisher Mcgraw Hill (or smthg) and the author

Both of these also have practice questions/quizzes

Hope i helped!

read chapter
outline chapter
study guide for chapter
read/take notes on lecture
go onto textbook website and take online quiz
reread chapter
reread notes

I read a section thoroughly, then I try to outline it without referring back to the book (unless I need to copy down dates/hard-to-spell names). It's only about 1.5 hours for each chapter, and afterwards, I know the information so well I don't usually need to do any more studying except for a brief review before tests.

I don't have to take notes, and most of my classes have tests that are teacher-based, not book-based, so I just -listen-.

I read the textbook. XD
