How do you guys do it?

Can anyone share their tips on generally increasing their day to day efficiency tips / how they get an edge? Some people deactivate fb, some people cheat like crazy, yet others combine allnighters with red bull frequently. What're your ways?

Woah, d

All-nighters are scientifically proven to make people stupid.

This is one of my remedy: I have a calendar with a to-dos list WITH TIMING on each subject. Also I have a kitchen timer(it could be one from your phone, but I prefer for it to be more ‘solid’) and time all of the stuffs I do. It’s basically a constant alarm clock. I known it sound annoying but overestimating free time and procrastination is worst. It does sometime give you the rush of when you are running out of time in test…it sound bad but it works.

i procrastinate

some days i get to go to bed early
others its a very long night

^don’t do this

Convincing myself I actually enjoy learning and working on papers and such. (And I do, but sometimes I need reminding. I tell myself how sad it is that I’m wasting my time on the Internet when I only have a finite lifespan and my purpose in life should be to learn as much as I can about the world before I have to leave it behind.)

Not the way I’d suggest, but I procrastinate.

The way you should do it is just dedicate yourself to learning, but have fun with your friends at the same time. I do the social part of it haha.

Tedious planning in my agenda book combined with scheduled naps and an underlying fear of not succeeding in life. I have also perfected the art of procrastination.

I estimate the difficulty of the assignment and decide how long I can procrastinate based off my estimation.

Exactly what I do, Jawmess.

Same here with Jawmess. It’s awesome when you over estimate.

The three prior posts= hilarious. Have definitely done that before : P.

Halogen, can you send me a source for your post on the effects of all-nighters? I’d be interested to read, as there have been times when I’ve felt stupider after weeks of very late nights.
