How do you guys do your HW?

Just out of curiosity, do you guys have a specific way of doing your HW? I usually don't do it, and I just save it the morning of. But I've never really noticed how other high school students do their HW, do some people just do everything the long way and take their time, or do you guys just use shortcuts because you have so much to do? Yea kinda random question, but I'm just curious.

I do both. Like I spend like 15x the time that I would actually need in AP Econ simply because I enjoy that class. Ditto on English and AP Euro. But AP Enviro...I tend to cut corners a lot. And not coincidentally, AP Econ is my best class and AP Enviro is my worst.

I'm doing homework day before due date because of grade. But I study for tests with passion and interest :)

If it's formal (like an essay) or requires a lot of untraditional effort (like researching something) I'll do it at home, probably late at night. If it's something informal like reading, taking notes, answering questions, or studying, then I'll do it in the morning or in other classes. Especially Health and Gym. I love those "classes". :)

i do it in class when the teacher is talking. never spend more time than i have to

I usually don't get much homework...it's mostly studying. The homework I do get I usually do in class the day it's assigned or the night before it's due. Or if it's a major project I spread it out over a few days.

I do it during my 2nd and 4th period classes, which are useless. I don't pay attention in Art (2nd) and Law Studies (4th) and I still get A's in them.

Most of the time I'll stay up late at night doing essays and AP work because I am a night person and it is hard for me to do work during the day. I also spend at least one whole day during the weekend to work on my AP classes and online classes.

I don't do my hw, j/k lame I know, I mainly do it during class or homeroom and saturday and sunday mornings.

um, i just start it right after school in my school's library 'til my dad picks me up. i save reading/studying/essays for home. i try to get the written, busy work out of the way. if there's some light studying or easy written work and i have a lot of work that particular night, i'll save that for morning. i have an hour and a half before school. also im usually basically finished with my hw by 8 because i watch tv lol.

I don't. That worked out REAL well last semester. woo!

Infrequently.

(Just kidding. I haven't had homework for a long time. I was just thinking of how my kids do their homework...)

my easy classes are pre-calc and spanish 3. i always finish the hw for those classes in class and try to do other work. at my school we have 3 classes before lunch and one after lunch, so for my last block class i do that work at lunch (either french 4 or h-chem, rotating schedule) unless i have to write a formal essay or something. everything else i do when i get home (like 7pm or 8pm depending on the day).

i try to do as much of my ap us reading and notes over the weekend bc it takes me like 2 hours to do a chapter and we have 2 or 3 chapters due each week.

Better question: How much TIME do you spend doing your HW? Like I said, I don't doing my HW because then I overanalyze anything and like I do one math problem in like half an hour, so I'd rather do it during class and not spend such a waste of time on HW. What about you guys?

2 hours at the most maybe....

It depends, some nights where I have to study or write essays it takes me all night. But I never stay up late. I always manage to be in bed by 10:30. And I do the easy hw like worksheets, math assignments, vocab in other classes. And I save the ones that require deeper understanding like writing essays studying for tests, hard assignments for at home. And what really helps me is to make a plan of all the hw you have to finish in one night by a certain time, like 6:00 or so.

haha..um like 4-4.5 hours, give or take an hour.

5-6 hours a night, 8 on saturday and sunday

i hate junior year :(

i do it at night, but im extremely distracted the whole time so it takes 20x longer than it should... also i hang out at cafes/bookstores and do it there a lot, just because its a more interesting place and i focus better

for relatively easy classes such as precalc and ap econ, I do the most of the hw the weekend before the stuff is taught (this probably will change if the topics get harder)

i study for science classes around 6-10, essays i work on for hours until 1 or 2.

basically, i do written hw during the class and the principle that guides me is that hw can be bsed anytime from the day it is assigned to the end of the period it is due.

I almost never do homework unless there are points involved.
