How do you guys stay up late?

i'm one of those weird people that find it hard to stay up past 9, so when i have to for homework i drink a glass of ice-cold water.

how does ice cold water keep you awake?!?!?!

Caffine Pills work well for me, but then I end up crashing when I get home from school. Sometimes I just don't do the assignment if I'm extremely tired, I figure its not worth losing sleep over. Ice cold water is freezing so it wakes you up.

I once fell asleep during a test due to the lack of sleep. Luckily, the teacher was kind enough to wake me up 10 minutes after I had dozed off.

I usually go to sleep late because of homework for my APUSH class. I have this thing where I take a break to watch Law and Order: SVU and at 9:00 PM I read the chapter(s) and study for APUSH and I usually do that for two hours. At 11:00 PM is when I usually go to bed.

I fell asleep so many times reading our ridiculous boring APUSH tome -- Liberty, Equality, Power.

Incidentally, I fell asleep too on the actual APUSH exam with 25 minutes remaining on the essay portion.

I received a 5. =D

what was the longest you guys stayed awake?
Mine is 30 hours! It's amazing how time passes so quickly when you watch 7 consecutive movies.

^^^probably like 36 hours or so.

I've stayed up for three days so 36+ studying my Ap Euro text Sophmore yr. Haven't stayed awake more than 24 hrs since then. Will power or caffeine pills($5 per 100) are cheapest , stackers, etc work too but at 25 a bottle. It's not a good thing to do unless you're desperate. You wont remember as much if you're reading at 3:00Am as opposed to 3PM.

work while on MSN talking to people. if ur staying up late for some class, chances are, ur classmates will be too. so u might as well suffer together :)

I don't stay up. The longest I ever have was until... five-ish, not studying, but cleaning up after a party my parents hosted. But then, I don't study that much either... I really only have for AP tests, and my method for that was to study from 3 pm, when I got home from school, until about 10 pm, when I'd shut my books, go on AIM a little, and then sleep.... I did that for about 2 weeks, and I had 6 AP tests and 2 SAT II's. (Results: five 5's, one 4; 800 USH; 770 chem)

That is so true. The night before the huge English thesis paper is due, we had a MSN-thesis-party at 3:30 AM.

The thing though is my productivity goes down to less than 20% if I work with MSN on because I get distracted so easily...

I pulled an all-nighter studying for my first college exam, which made up 1/3 of my grade. I figured that I needed to start out strong this year and that I would regret not studying more for just a few hours of sleep.

Result: 96%, which is outstanding given my professor's notoriety for tricky and very difficult exams!

I better stay on top of things, because an A in that class is a 94.

It's cool how I brought back a thread from two years ago. I find that entertaining.

Anyways, now my problem is NOT sleeping. I can't hit the hay until 11 or I'll just lay there and stare at the ceiling.

So I tried to pull another all-nighter.

I fell asleep at about 3 or 4.

And then guess what? School in three hours! Yeah that's the first day I've missed this year. Doesn't it make sense to everyone that high school should start around 9 or 10? Teenagers bodies aren't built to go to bed early...

On Wednesdays, I don't have class, so I sleep until 10 and then do a research project/go to meetings the rest of the day. On Mondays and Thursdays, I get up at 8:30 (first class is at 10:25, I do homework in the mornings though). On Tuedays and Mondays, I wake up at 7:20 (7:50=first class). When do I go to bed? 12:30-2 every night.

i naturally stay up late since i have so much to do, but staying AWAKE is a whole different story. when it hits midnight - 2 AM, i start getting really sleepy (especially if i'm reading history, or trying to memorize). a couple weeks ago it got to the point where i HAD to stay up until 3 am since i had so much **** to do & i NEEDED to stay up to finish everything (no, i wasn't procrastinating, but i had a lot of things to do haha).

my solution is GOOD FOOD & DRINKS. :D haha. yeeep ! especially when reading, 'cause it helps me concentrate.

giant peach tazo juiced iced tea

sobe nirvana mango melon

wolfgang puck's chicken caesar salad

ice water

haha yiuh baby! but yeah, it helps but only to a certain point. i still have to figure out myself how to keep myself awake for late nights. :[
