hey i was just wondering like does everyone sit down and study straight for 6 hours for AP exams or do you like do other things like listen to music of eat , etc.. and how long do you guyts study for AP exams....

Does anyone know the most productive way to study for the AP exams??????????????????

Most productive, in my opinion (and I had success with this), is to study in small installments. Maybe spend an hour or two a day looking over notes and doing practice. Don't cram. It never works for me. Everytime I try it, I don't do too well. But if you are one go ahead. Also, don't study the day before or the day of the AP test. That will help you to be fresh and focus more on the exam

Defiantely don't cram! Take small breaks every hour or so. Not too long of course...just enough time to unwind. If you study straight you're bound to forget a bunch.

the best thing to do is to get a review book and spend a little bit of time each night going over your notes and doing review problems. the more sample ap test problems you see, the better off you are

I definately agree with what the others have saide before me; study in increments. A little bit every day goes a long way and it won't stress you out.

Well, I hate to say it, but cramming works for me. I usually start studying 2 or 3 nights before the exam and cram in 1 hour the first night, 2 hours the second, and 6 hours the night before (this is for 3 AP Exams). It's like my brain shifts into a higher gear when the pressure is on. But anyway, my key to success in AP tests is to understand the BIG PICTURE, and then all of the nitpicky details can be derived from that big picture. Also, in math AP's like Calculus,
MAKE TRADITIONALLY NONROUTINE PROBLEMS ROUTINE.

currently im just using my review books and briefly going over old tests and notes to refresh my memory
just study in the way that works best for you

yeah, I prefer to cram with review books (if i have taken the class), only b/c i don't really need to learn the material, i just need to jog my memory. usually about 3 or 4 times before an exam i'll sit down with my text and notes and review book(s) and just go thorough them, reviewing anything i've forgotten or don't know (which isn't much, since my courses have been pretty decent).

I've made this schedule that involves studying everyday (already read review books, so kind of memorising & taking tests) and going to b&n whenever I can. The good thing is that since it's TAKs week, we had no hmwk.. the bad thing is that I didn't realise that studying like this would be so tiring.. ;_;

well time is closing in but I only starting to study for chem only. The method that I found worked for me is to take a lot of practice tests in advance. I'm doomed in US since my class need 2 more chapters before finishing up the book. I just wonder is it necessary to study or know infos up until present day or can I just stop at about the end of the Cold War (Nixon)?
