How do you guys study for history tests?

i just read it once and if i am not distracted it sticks...if it doesnt stick i re read it a second time, then it is fine

I am the same as many here, i just read, alot. Not just the textbook fin another non-fiction book on the subject and read, i find it sort of soaks in (if thats the best way to describe it) and then i can recall things.

read the material from your text over and over till you know it backwards(?)and give yourself a mini- madeup test afterwards, I never get below a 94 on a history test if I study this way.

Dude if you put off the readings, you won't remember them for more than a day. Which is fine for quizzes but KILLS you at the AP. So don't party. Ha.

I find that the idea of multiple AP's is generally to destroy any hope at having a social life. Blarg.

Well I have an APUSH test today, so let's see if reading chapters over and over again paid off.

APUSH = hatehatehate.

I couldn't stand that class. But then again, my teacher was incompetent and the AP credit doesn't mean anything for me. Bah humbug, eh?

Just memorise the whole friggin textbook.
That's what I did couple of years back for every single history quizzes, tests, exams, etc, and (sorry if this sounds upmyself) came first in class for everything histroy. At the end of the schoolyear, I basically had the exact replica in my brain.
And it's not as hard as one might think..

haha yeah, i'll read it once and make sure i understand & really know what's going on. if i don't then i'll read it a second time (but i'll give up halfway haha). the first time is hard for me since i always lie on my bed when i'm reading since i hate reading sitting down, but it's bad since sometimes i'll fall asleep after 2 pages. LOL.

So i have a ap ush test on thursday and friday over chapters 9-12 (American's Pageant). I am not really sure how i should go about grasping all that 80 pages worth of material without getting it mixed up. Any ideas? I have read all the chapters but i dont think i grasped all the information.

I just read the chapter the night before a test, and that's enough.

my school's APUSH class is especially difficult, but 75% of the class gets 5 on the exam, so i guess it pays off. also, our APUSH class is 1 year and a half long. we start second semester sophomore year.
