How do you know for sure if you are revoked from cal?

So basically, i "know" that i've been revoked from cal. I gave them an appeal letter and a short letter emailed back to me saying my admission has been revoked, which i quite believed him at first.

It started when i got emails reminding me about calso that i started to doubt. I called my counselor, and he said "yes" my admission has been revoked. So i didn't bother to attend calso orientation.

But then, since i missed the orientation, i was still able to get the "code" to register for class and was given the time to register for telephase I and II.

So i am not sure, because i am still able to register for spring 2010 classes (i was a spring admit). nothing on my bearfacts or telebears tell me i can't register or any sort of "block" registration. I didn't get anything else about my revoked admission other than that short email. Maybe that short email and the fact that the counselor said "yes," are enough to proof that i am revoked. But i guess it still hit me hard and somehow wanted to believe my admission is still valid.

i know it's embarrassing to post about this, but i really want to know and about what i should do. what exactly happens when one really got revoked? :(

Who did you email? I doubt they would have made a mistake. If you want to make sure, call or email the registrar’s office again. How did you get revoked?

Admissions forget to enter their decision into the system - if you have a telebears appointment and were able to sign up for classes then I think you’re good to go. I don’t know about housing/health insurance and all that jazz though.

Just go to the school.

thank you guys for the replies. :)

@liquidus i got revoked from the “usual”… received a D during first semester but made it up with a B second semester but my unweighted gpa was 2.8. i can’t do much about it. I might call the registar’s office again.

@dougk so does that mean i’m still in? but if so, don’t i hav to meet with my counselor once in a while and during that time, wouldn’t he realized i should have been “revoked.” would it just be a waste of time going to berkeley and get send back home in the middle of spring? should i call them again and even write another letter? but this time the letter will be a “begging” letter instead of appeal about my unsound grades?

If you get in via TeleBears and attend for some time, I highly doubt they can just send you away - if they do, you might be able to sue them.
I’d seize the chance and schedule an appointment with a lawyer just in case.

@ak_dogg what do you mean by “attend for some time”? and why am I able to sue them? But i probably won’t do that, it costs money. :frowning: so basically if i’m able to register, it means i’m in?

it’s not like they can send you away. it’s a public school. you can attend nearly any lecture class you want.

The question is whether he is officially registered as a student. Obviously, he could attend any lecture he wants to.

oh i wasn’t trying to answer op’s question. lol just saying. if you want to know whether you’re officially registered, then simply call. and ***** before they go on winter break.

"@ak_dogg what do you mean by “attend for some time”? and why am I able to sue them? "

For making you believe you were registered, which disrupted your plans for making millions of dollars just so that you could attend UC Berkeley, only to get unjustly kicked out.

good luck with that claim.

Hey no need to be so uppity, I’m taking time from making my millions trying to help people out on CC only to be met with sarcastic remarks, that’s downright unsporting.
