How do you know which of your courses transfer?

I'm wondering because the application is asking for my transferable classes for their pre-reqs (eng. composition, math, etc.) and my university admissions record doesn't know what I should put down.

Does that mean I'm supposed to talk to someone from the UC campus? Or do something else?

Thanks!

PS: I'm transferring from CSU Stanislaus.

[Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org)

What if they’re not on assist? Counselor help? lol. The counselors at my school know NOTHING (and almost royally screwed me over for this semester.) good luck everybody! :D

Yes I agree, from my experience ccc counselors absurdly useless. I have often been given false or contradictory information to what UC reps tell me. I assume they just want to avoid the awkwardness of being ill-informed. Anyhow, explore all the parts of assist. There really is a lot of information there and you should be able to find every class that is transferrable. If it is not listed I’m guessing that the course is not CSU or UC transferrable, but don’t quote me on that. Good luck.

Does anyone know of a site other than ASSIST that provides this information? ASSIST is lacking transfer information for all of UCSD’s computer science majors.

“Yes I agree, from my experience ccc counselors absurdly useless.”

I concur. How do these ■■■■■■■ even get a job is beyond me. I only know 1-2 counselors at my entire cc that I would make an appointment with, but I would never 100% count on them. And 90% of the time I am wasting my time and they don’t do anything. Waste of taxpayer money.

Most of the time they are people who picked useless degrees-from my experience.

The problem with ASSIST is that they don’t tell you what’s transferable from a CSU to a UC.

So do I contact the UC people or do something else?
