Just curious. I see people referencing the dreaded experimental section all the time, but I was under the impression that it doesn't appear different from any of the other sections. Is it actually noticeably weird? What was today's experimental?

I have this same question!

Whichever 25 min section that appears twice (let me explain). The experimental section is always 25 minutes and is always one of sections 2-7. Which ever section “type” (subject/# of questions) appears twice is the experimental. For example, you could get two 20 question 25 minute math sections, so you would know that one of them is the experimental. It’s very difficult to tell which is the experimental based solely on content. The experimental is also the section that most other people won’t have the same as you.

I’ll list the non experimental sections. If you had a section that I did not mention then it is experimental

CR
-8 Vocab section had a passage on a diary of a man in Britain during WWII, and a passage on African American Congresswomen Barbara Johnson.
-5 Vocab section had a short passage on fragrances in ink, and a passage on some childhood memories, and how memories/stories alter.
-Short CR section was a passage-comparison on the biofuel topic.

W
The improving paragraph passage was about robots having human traits, and a robot, named Deep blue, that could play chess.

M
20 Question section’s last question was about red marbles.
Section w/ Grid-In had a question about student to teacher ratio, at the end.

Thanks cheerios and SAT100! I THINK I got a math experimental (99% sure) but who knows, it’s all starting to blur now. Time to just pray and wait for the 22nd, I guess. And honestly **** that ink fragrances paragraph hahaha
