<p>What would be considered the prestige of a large, economically diverse urban school that has both a high dropout rate and IB program? In other words, it has the best and worst of high schools in it.</p>
<p>A prestigious high school will be recognized by adcoms; each year a large number of qualified applicants from those high schools apply for and make top schools. There isn’t a literal quantity, but generally, if your school sends about 1-2 students to top schools, it is not considered prestigious. Basically prestige is determined by admissions results.</p>
