The main thing that concerns me is my GPA/class rank. I'm applying to several very good schools, and I'm hopeful I'll get into at least one. Please chance me at each(1-10 scale) and explain. I'm open to new suggestions for schools too! Please tell me anything that may be helpful, and thanks in advance. Here's my list:
Matches: Vanderbilt(ED), Emory, Tulane, Wake Forest, Rice
Reaches: Columbia, Duke, John Hopkins

An ex boyfriend of mine got into Duke with very similar stats. I’d say that while it is a reach (it is for most people), good essays and LOR could give you a shot at getting in.

I wouldnt count hopkins and duke out, although they are reaches. I think columbia is slightly more difficult than those two. However, you are definitely competitive for vanderbilt and wake forest, though rice is also somewhat of a reach.

Vanderbilt(ED)-Match, maybe high match because GPA
Emory-Match/High Match
Tulane-Match
Wake Forest-Match
Rice-High Match/Low reach
Columbia-High Reach
Duke-Mid Reach
John Hopkins-Mid Reach
Thanks for chancing me; I’m unsure about vandy (and the south in particular). New England and Chicago seem so awesome!
