I got into Cornell just last week. I know Cornell is a prestigious college, but it is very expensive. I was wondering how do you all manage to pay all tuition fees.
As for me, my parents will pay just a part of the whole tuition, the rest I have to take loans. Is it the same for all of you?

Parents pay for all (having asian parents pays off in the end hehe).

Haha, some of us aren't as fortunate to have parents able to afford full tuition. My parents will help, but, good god, $40,000 a year - time to take out a second mortgage.

i haven't gotten in yet but i know my parents would definetly NOT pay for the whole thing. too bad having asian parents doesn't work for me as well as for you towerpumpkin =P

I have divorced parents, so you can imagine how much fun this financing thing has been for me. I'm taking on $40,000 in loans myself just so I don't have to listen to them ***** at one another.

Financial Aid for me.... I feel thankful :)

werd, towerpumpkin!
I m apping to a couple local scholarships too, just in case I can get a few thousand dollars to pay for books and whatnot.

I'll be in excess of 40 thousand in debt when I get out this upcoming January.

I think I'll sell some organs

now you know why I started this thread...

I totally agree, towerpumpkin! My parents (of course, Asian) are willing to pay the full tuition!!!

I heared selling organs is a very lucrative business:)

Just don't sell your brain, I hear they might be useful in college.

And your liver :)

Good call.

we use only 4% of our brains anyway so why not donate the rest of it ??? I mean cmon !!

I'm paying with a 70,000 dollar inheritance that is collecting interest and becomes mine when I turn 21...

and grandpa is giving me 10,000 a year

5,000 from my dad

I think that covers CALS, in state

have you ED acceptees gotten a financial aid package yet?

A tentative one came about a week after I got in

Yes, I received one, and while $0 isn't quite as generous as what I was hoping for, I suppose I should be grateful that at least they took the time to send me a letter.
