<p>Now that you've earned the scholarships and whatnot, how do you actually pay using them? One check is written out to just me and I suppose I could directly deposit that into my bank account, but all the rest are made out to me & Penn. Do I mail the check to them? Can I deposit the check into my account and then Penn in full on my own time? Or.... how does it work?</p>

<p>From what I understand, if money has been given directly to you then you declare the amount to the college and they will (or won't) adjust your financial aid package according to their own policies regarding outside scholarship funds.</p>
<p>For the checks made out to you and Penn, call the FA office there and ask how they want you to handle that. Generally speaking, when a check is made out to two parties jointly, they both must endorse the check, so you may not even be able to deposit that money directly into your own account.</p>
