my weakest section is writing and I believe it is mostly because I become extremely tired after CR and i miss everything because i'm not focusing. I'm going over my answers for practice test and they are all stupid mistake that I just miss because I was really tired. How do good test takers bypass this problem. I'm not sure about most test, but the test i've been taken starts with math and CR and ends with writing... which makes writing the hardest section to do mentally

I found that once I was reading more in general, then reading comprehension was not so tiring.

So I would recommend reading more in general.

Perhaps, you are already doing this, then I would recommend, and I know this is weird but it works for me. After the section, take a minute break and kind of meditate for that minute. I close my eyes and count up from "one one-thousand" to "30 one-thousand". For some reason, I think it is a form of meditation it really helps to refresh my mind.

hmm interesting tip :)

i might try that sometimes.

I warned that it was weird!

btw, many colleges recalculate your SAT score without the writing section b/c the SAT does not reward creative writing.
If you are doing fine on time, re-read the question before you answer it and rephrase it in your own words. That can help you "answer the mail" and make sure you are answering the question asked.

oh i'm not doing great on writing in terms of time :(

I have the opposite problem. I always have plenty of time left over on writing sections, but no matter how much I look over the answers I'm unsure of, I never figure anything out.

Here is a strategy that I use:

Do a page at a time and then move answers. This is so you can concentrate on the problems and that's when you get your points. If you're already doing this, I suggest "moving around" problems. If you can't get an answer immediately, skip it and do other ones. On one practice SAT, I couldn't do well on Identifying Sentence Error so I went to finish Improving Paragraph first and then came back.

Other one is simple: PRACTICE! I saw many threads here even after I joined about advices for high scores. The best thing is to simply practice and you should do well (if you're practicing right).
