do you just say 'no' and leave or give a lengthy explanation on why not? do you lie? or do you have nervous breakdowns (i.e. the girl that suddenly asked you out was your crush and you weren't 'prepared')?

I just say no.

^...and walk away?

This is the wrong place to ask.

Start out laughing quietly and get louder until they leave.

Say, "My results just came back positive". When the person replies, "what results", simply clap your hands together and walk away.

Eventually he or she will understand what your gesture symbolized.

I have used this technique multiple times--it's an effective way to render an individual grateful of rejection.

If ANYONE starts looking at you funny, or you find people distancing themselves from you, tell them what they've heard is a baseless rumor.

You're welcome!!

BAHAHAHA strong post

transferkid21's too

@ siglio: lol, they usually walk away.

transfer: I don't get it :(

LOL.... In health class did your teacher ever go over any slang terms?

I have a friend who gives guys the number to the local gay hotline.

i like flat out say no, if it's someone who i don't really know and i find creepy. if it's someone i care about, but i'm just friends with, i'll be nicer.

I typically apologize and then say no. I hate hurting people's feelings =(.

I fortunately (?) don't seem to have this problem...

It depends. If it's some random guy on the street I just ignore them and keep walking. If it's an ugly guy who I don't know but who I see has a decent personality I reject them nicely by telling them that I'm too busy for a boyfriend. If it's someone that I was talking to at first, but then bored me, I just stop talking to them and the school is pretty big enough for me to do that. If it's a friend I kindly say no and that I'm too busy. However, there are some people that just don't get it. Then, I either lie and say I have a boyfriend, am gay (I only did that once with my cousin when we saw this ugly guy in the mall trying to talk to me), or if they **** me off I tell them the truth.

Lol, I have [unfortunately] been placed in situations where this is honestly my only plausible response... hahaha.
Usually I will just be like, "Umm, no, sorry?" if it was like totally unexpected and I'm totally turned off by the person. haha.

The single worst way that I was rejected was when as a freshman, I had to ask out this retardedly hot senior (cliche, indeed). And she said yes..... then the next day was like, omfg i cant believe you thought I was serious. Goodbye.

^Aw! :[ That is terrible....

Uhmm first time I was in that situation, I said no with a lengthy explanation, which now, I think was really stupid.

The next time I said that I wasn't looking for a relationship and I want to stay friends

^Yeah, just say no thanks, lets just stay friends.
