Simple question. What gets you sane when you're falling apart? Just wondering how different people deal.

Also congrats to whomever got into [arbitrary college where they applied to] today!

This website was down for about four hours so not too many people have posted their decisions.

Usually classical music serves as a benefactor for me.

Read a book or listen to music. Sports help too.

Sleep/dive in the pool/gorge on ice cream/jump rope like crazy.

listen to music and skip around

I eat uncontrollably.

Do something you really like. Like playing WoW, a videogame, watching some good TV. Or if you’re a sporty person, something like that.

I try to find counterexamples to rule 34.

I just talk my way through it. I go in my room, lay in bed, and talk myself sane. It is so calming. Or I take a nap.

If you’re really desperate I guess you could “relieve stress” the twelve year old way, if you know what I mean. Assuming you’re a guy. That may be a little off color. Sorry if I offended someone.

^I know what you’re talking about, but how is that the “twelve year old” way?

Well I didn’t mean it is the twelve year old way of relieving stress. I mean when you’re twelve, that is what you do as a guy. Most people dont do it when they are juniors and seniors. At least people I know.

Wait, maybe we’re not thinking about the same thing. Because I sure as hell wasn’t doing that regularily when I was 12…

… i’ll leave it at that

lmao. i estimate twelve every time I refer to middle school. I’m bowing out of this conversation now.

Wait, what? scratches head Am I missing out on some ritual undertaken by typical prepubescent males lol?

lol
Tsen char

Right with ya man

this thread has taken a turn for the worse

Hardly the worse; it’s perfectly normal.

When it comes to stress relief I usually hop into some new community as I’m doing now. If not that, I usually go for some of my usual hobbies: I’ll play some competitive fighters on the net, translate and subtitle some videos into English, or perform tarot card readings for some friends.

Weird hobbies? Hell yeah, but they’re really relaxing and fun.

YouTube videos!

When I’m extremely stressed, I can’t even think of doing that to myself…
