The deadline for applications to the Honors Program is in February; decisions are sometime after that. If my son, an EA admit, wants to be in the Honors Program and live in Myers, should he pay the housing deposit and request Myers now? If he gets Myers but doesn't subsequently get into Honors, that would be awkward. But if he waits until March or April to request Myers, it may fill up.

D’ s advice is to go ahead and do it. " Why not"
If he doesn’t get into Honors, housing won’t allocate him a room there. She also said there are some kids in Myers this year that are not in Honors due to the accommodation shortage. She reports that there is no awkwardness.

Congrats to your son and I hope you enjoyed the football game

Thanks Gibson - Good football game, but the amazing thing to me is how a university with a 90,000-seat stadium that has no parking lots of its own gets fans in and out of the game. They’ve got it down to a science!

definitely put in housing request. You are allocated housing based on date your registration application is submitted. Do it today!!! Then they actually give you to about May 1 to change your housing choices, so it really does not matter at all what you put down now as long as you get your application in as soon as possible because the date accepted is the way they are processed.
