How do you respond to "sup"

I always feel awk when people say it to me. Idk if they are asking me what's going on or saying hi. So I just say "hey" and feel totally awkward.

usually saying hi. kinda have to read them, but it’s pretty easy to tell if they’re actually asking you what’s up, haha.

Just say “sup” back. Maybe throw in a upwards head-nod.

If I don’t know em I go “hey” and do a downwards head-nod (aka normal nod).

Head-nods can make or break your friendships… =P

nuttin’ .

if you know the person, reply:

“nm, u?”

if you don’t know the person, reply:

“hey” or “sup”

“nm, you?”

If there’s something interesting that has happened or that I have to say, I’ll tell them that. Otherwise, I just say “not much” or “hey”. I feel like I’m the only person who actually responds to “what’s up?” with what’s actually going on haha.

“I am fine, and greetings to you too.”

“hey” – the sup is not necessarily to be taken literally…

socially awkward cc-er is socially awkward

Halt!

Hammerzeit!

“Good morrow, fair sir! Many thanks for thy concern. I have just returned from yon market up the hill and did find the juiciest of apples. Mayhaps thou shouldst join me on such ventures anon. If I may inquire of thee, how dost THOU fare today?”

^Hahahaha perfect

Just say sup back.

“not much, how’s it going?”

First, I give him a blank stare… next, I’d slap him in the face and say “How DARE you speak that way to me!”… then, I’d realize what I did and apologize… finally, I’d walk away.

Simple 4 step solution to break any relationship!

^
Unless he likes the abuse.

“Good morrow, fair sir! Many thanks for thy concern. I have just returned from yon market up the hill and did find the juiciest of apples. Mayhaps thou shouldst join me on such ventures anon. If I may inquire of thee, how dost THOU fare today?”

This.

Or, a simple “sup” usually suffices.

“Nothin’ much, man” < that’s what first popped up into my head.
In reality, I’d just say “nothin, much” or “hey”

“Good morrow, fair sir! Many thanks for thy concern. I have just returned from yon market up the hill and did find the juiciest of apples. Mayhaps thou shouldst join me on such ventures anon. If I may inquire of thee, how dost THOU fare today?”

Thats how I respond to it…all the time

“sup”
“pretty good”
