How do you schedule an Interview?

How do you schedule an Interview?

I think you will be contacted by an alum-

yeah, they will contact you.
i dont really think the interview is the huge factor of the admission process, but am still nervous (cuz i have an appointment tomorrow!!)

If there is an alum in your area, they will call you. If there isn't, they don't require you to travel more than is reasonable to meet one. Many rural applicants, and especially international ones, don't get interviews unless they visit the campus and talk to an adcom.

wait, will they email or call us? I prefer emails.

I got an email from the local alumni director, telling me who to contact to set up an interview.

My interviewer only got my name and phone number. I live in a really rural town and he was probably the only alum in the area, so it's not like he had to coordinate his schedule around 50 applicants or anything. I'm not sure if they give all alums phone numbers or emails or whatever, I only know that my interviewer had my phone number.

Yah, yale already hooked me up. Waiting for a few more schools.

They usually give the alums name and phone number. Beware - my interviewer called my home phone (which is rarely used) and left a message (which I didn't check for almost 3 days).I got freaked out that she might think I wasn't interested in Harvard. But no worries - I still got in! ^.^

And, each interviewer (alum in your area) is assigned one to five students - never more than that. So they are very flexible with scheduling - no need to worry about 50 applicants.

Nver say never. I interview for one of H's peer schools. I happen to be the only alum in my area and my local coordinator sent me 8 interview requests (after I had already done four for EA). LOL

I'M OVERSTACKED for sure.

I'm kind of eager to know if I will receive an interview. I live in an incredibly rural area, but I am certain that people receive interviews in a larger city about 45 minutes away from mine. I go to this city about three times a week for all of my city needs. I hope the adcoms don't consider it too far away. Think they would tell me if I called? I emailed and got the canned interview response verbatim from their website (one of the most annoying things about Harvard). At what point should I be fairly sure they aren't going to contact me?
