first you have to apply, ya

There's actually two types of interviews, an on campus informational interview, and an alum interview. The on campus interview is informal, meaning it will not be evaluated as part of your application. For this, you can just call Harvard up and schedule one, and u don't have to apply. For the alum interview, you must apply and then a local alum representative will contact you if he/she is interested. The alum interview is evaluative and will be weighted along with the rest of your application.

Well, I haven't applied yet, and I don't plan on going to an interview all the way in Mass. I live in Washington, and my parents can't afford to pay for that.

But on the supplement application, they ask whether or not you've had an interview and if you haven't, why not? There is an option that asks if you haven't had an interview, do you plan to do so. Then you have to fill in who you plan to do it with and where. I haven't had an interview, but I want to schedule one. So I was wondering where/when/how I could get one around my way.
