I really realyl want to get my common application out of my way but the thing is is that i'm not satisfied with my SAT/ACT score for my first round but i put it down on the application anyways. I just took my SAT Oct. 9 and i definitely feel like it's a big improvement. I was wondering if it's possible to submit my application to NYU ED and then get my scores on Oct 28 just before the deadline Nov. 1 and submit my scores? I would do ED II for NYU BUT there Tisch doesn't accept that. How does one go about that? Do they have to pay extra? Anyone know what i am talking about? lol

NYU accepts Oct scores for ED but wants them sent no later than Nov 1. The only way to assure that will in fact occur is for you to designate NYU as a college to automatically be sent scores as soon as they are released on your registration for the test (e.g., as one of your free sends). In you do that they will actually be sent a day or two before you learn of the score. If you wait until the score comes out, it could take several days thereafter for CB to actually send them by putting them into NYU’s on-line account with CB. The reason is that CB gets thousands of such requests right when scores come out and it takes it a while to process those requests (and ordering rush scores won’t change that fact and you should send regular delivery regardless). In other words, if you want to play it safe to assure ED consideration, you should send the Oct score blind. Sending it after score comes out may work but do you want to take the chance?

Note, putting scores on your application means nothing as that does not meet the requirement to send official scores and in fact what you put on the app won’t even be considered for admission because NYU goes by official scores not what is on the app.

Is there a way to send scores like right now without seeing it? I know it will be much better than the first score so I just need to send it.

Don’t know. Can you still go into your CB registration file and designate schools to automatically receive scores or order them sent now for when they come out? Check with CB.

Oh, i found it! Thanks for your help!
