how do you show "demonstrated interest" if you can't visit the school?

<p>I don't think WashU has informational meetings in my state, and if they did have it at my school I think I missed it on accident. I really want to go here, but other than sending them emails, I don't know how to show my interest, there isn't a why washU essay..</p>

<p>Many have said you can show your interest by applying for merit-based scholarships which require more essays :). Some of them won't take very long though.</p>
