^^Do I just call with a lot with questions? I am still on their mailing list.

Sigh.

It's a little late for that, don't you think? If your cover letter, essays, and recommendations don't have a good "why Tufts" theme, then do you really think that proving that you're rich enough to travel the country in your free time will help out?

Not trying to bite your head off - just hope you don't get wrapped up in "the admissions game" and think you are doing something wrong.

I think it's also verging on the late side for a simple reason: counting backwards. Decisions in the mail during the last week of March -> 16,000 (well, minus ED people) envelopes have to be stuffed before then -> have to have financial aid analysis (not need blind) of incoming class before then -> most decisions are probably made by the first or second week of March. Can't say for certain, but they are on a different timeline.

I would strongly suggest a quick letter (typed, of course). Just say that you are eagerly waiting to hear from them and mention any awards, honours, or whatever that you've gotten since you sent in your application. Finish by thanking them for their time. Conveys interest, maturity, and whatever new accomplishments you have.

I had a good why tufts theme and I also did their optional essay, so hopefully... all is well :), but thanks.

Sending a letter is good. That's what I did and I got in. Don't call: that'll just annoy them and not leave a record of your interest.
