I've decided I want a room change, though currently room changes for my university are only give if roommate issues occur.
The problem is I do have an issue, bjeopardizing my current roomate.

He currently smokes and drinks. We agreed it would be okay, as long as it's NOT in the room, but he's broken this rule multiple times with a group of people. I'm quite tired of coming home to beer bottles under my bed and my pillow sheets smelling like weed.
He's a nice roomate, and I've told him time and again to do it somewhere else and that it is bugging me, he apologizes, but still continues to drink and smoke in our room no matter what I say.

Don't get me wrong I don't really care that he Drinks/ Smokes it's none of my business, some of my high school friends did the same. It's the fact that he's doing it in our room, and we both could get in trouble if he get's caught.

I feel that a drinking and smoking roomate qualifies as a good reason to switch rooms, but I don't want him to get expelled or anything for it.

Anyone got any advice on how to deal with this?
