How Do YOU Stand Out?

What makes you unique? Yes, you can brag.

Me?
I am a 15 yr. old black guy who can speak French, Spanish, Italian, and Chinese. (currently learning Arabic)
How many of those do you know?

Well, I use an avatar on CC. Also, I am third in my class, so that’s something.

I’m extremely passionate and work hard at everything. I’m well above average intelligence, but not anything special. It’s my drive that makes me successful.

I’m a failure.

My background. I’m Irish and Moroccan - I grew up exposed to (and studied) both Islam and Catholicism, and I lived in both Ireland and Morocco as a child. Basically what I wrote my college essay about, lol.

Woah @preamble1776, I know someone who’s Irish and Moroccan! Lol, not really a common mix, is it?
What makes me stand out? Uhm… my desire to stand out, I guess :stuck_out_tongue: If I’m in a room with a hundred other people, my voice will be the loudest.

@marshmallowpop – Maybe I’m that person… haha. The only people I know who are Irish and Moroccan are people in my family (because my Moroccan uncles married Irish women, so their children (my cousins) are all Irish and Moroccan as well. It isn’t a common mix at all, haha.

I also know Arabic, my parents initially lived in Iraq but a war in the 1990’s led them to live in a concentration camp (where they had my siblings and I) for a couple of years as a safe haven. Then, they moved to America. So, um, I guess the fact that I am refugee makes me unique?

Not much… But I did co-found a nonprofit to raise money for a disease in Asia. Does that make me stick out?

I’m responsible. I raised my autistic younger brother for most of my life. Especially so when we were living with my single, untreated, bipolar mother.

I won a national gold medal for writing in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and had a 2330 SAT.

I don’t. I’m pretty sure I got into college on the basis of my test scores alone.

I’m unique because I’m like the only failure on CC lol, how many of those do you know?

@VaishS
@quidditchcat…now 2 failures on CC lol

I was born with a ‘disability’ which pushed me to strive more. Now I play two sports, ranked in two other "sports (Table Tennis and Chess) and have a 3.85 GPA with rigorous courses. I also won several awards. My life has been through its ups and downs, but I always managed to turn it around. Hey, I should use that as a Quote: “My life has been through its ups and downs, but I always managed to turn it around.” (Copyrighted by Hawkace)

I also can write, speak and understand two languages while understanding three other languages.

@TengoQueSaber
Well then guess I’m not unique at all!

Well thinking about it, I am second in my class, have awesome friends, speak 4 languages (Spanish, English, Hindi, Punjabi), and have a 30+ ACT score as a sophomore so not too bad…

Well, I was first. #goingbacktosecondgrade
I guess I also stand out because I can’t eat pizza. Actually, I think there are a lot of people who can’t eat pizza, idk.

I forgot to mention that I am fluent in American English.

@quidditchcat
I’m a vegetarian, so i can only eat cheese and veggie pizzas, but it would suck if I couldn’t eat pizza at all.
