<p>I know most people do not have the energy to sit and be a 100% focused throughout the whole SAT exam. What do you do to keep yourself alert and awake throughout the whole test?(sugar? caffeine? Carbs?)</p>
<p>OMG take mints! They work so well, and supposedly, they're supposed to do something to your brain that keeps it awake. I ate Altoids all throughout my entire SAT exam, and also through both my APs. It helped soooo much.</p>
<p>Penguin gum or mints (the caffiene should help)</p>
<p>You should eat a seriously nutritious dinner loaded with complex carbohydrates the night before.</p>
<p>In the morning of the exam, eat something like orange juice, corn flakes and milk, and some cheese. Cheese will make you feel full for several hours.</p>
<p>Do not load up on sugar on the day of the exam. You will feel a burnout.</p>
<p>chew gum during the test, and eat a clif bar before the test and during a break. clif bars are a great energy source. i personally would not suggest caffeine, as for some people, it burns them out, or only lasts for a short time and then makes you worse off than you were.</p>
<p>it depends try it first on something less important.</p>
<p>no coffee. esp. if you don't drink it much. yeah, cuz you'll be set for the first 2 hours and then you'll die for the next 2. caffeine lows suck.</p>
<p>i didn't eat, then i listened to the sounds that my stomach made and it was entertaining enough to keep me awake.</p>

<p>I would go with the whole mint thing, it helped me on my tests as well!</p>
<p>I stayed awake with a Red Bull and huge breakfast. Half a Red Bull before the test (in the waiting area) and Propel + Hershey's throughout the test.</p>

<p>I don't. I give up around 2:30-4am for homework</p>
<p>I never fall asleep during tests though (unless it's something like STAR testing or one I could take sleeping), luckily for me. I guess there's just that thing that tells you "THIS IS IMPORTANT. DON'T F--- UP." that makes me stay awake.</p>
