Do people normally indicate to a school that it's their first choice?

If so, how?

Thanks!

lol the key is telling every school its your first choice. THat way, you're more likely to get admitted =)

but seriously, interviews help. or you can stick it in a why X university essay

apply early decision, but it is too late now.

Hahaha...I'd feel guilty if I said that to every school! =( Too bad, eh?

I definitely hope I get an interview; I live in suburban Utah, so I'm not sure..
I'm thinking about sticking it in my why X university essay, but I don't want to be too blunt. I guess I'll try to figure out how to work it in.

My first choice school doesn't have ED anyway...and I applied somewhere else EA. Hmm.

show LOTS of interest, everytime my school was in town I was there, despite th fact I had heard their presensation 3 times. I say this in the least creepy was possible but by the end my regional officer knew my name. My gc also wrote I seperate letter explaining why the school was a good fit and then I told them in my interview. It doesn't hurt to be consistent

If a school is your first choice, say it in the application. Explicitly. They know lots of kids can't apply early decision because of the financial angle, but if they are trying to assess how likely you are to come, money permitting, why make them guess?

It lacks integrity to say it if it really isn't your first choice.

Nothing expresses love like ED. If you don't put it all on the line for them, they'll never believe you. And even when you do, they often won't respect you in the morning... not even a call!
