If it's just one class and you have some free time somewhere, take a nap in that period. Maybe it's just me, but I find it much easier to wake up knowing that I'll get some more sleep soon. It seems to keep me from sleeping super heavy at night too.

I second the put-your-alarm-out-of-arms'-reach thing. If you're a heavy sleeper like me (I slept through a fire alarm going off once), I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there's an alarm that you can attach to your pillow. When it goes off, it vibrates or something like that. If your pillow having a spaz attack doesn't wake you up, I'm really not sure what will. :)

lol @ aberdeen15. That is one annoying song. I used to set an alarm on my radio but it's too loud so it would wake my entire house up so I have to settle for my cellphone. And whoever came up with the snooze button is a genius. It tricks your brain into thinking that you're getting more sleep even though you're only resting your eyes for another 5 minutes.

As much as I want....

Spammer...

My brother raves about his Sunrise Alarm Clock. The light comes on gradually, to wake you up the way you would naturally.

^

Yeah I heard good things about the SunRise alarm clock too,

BUT its 100 DOLLARS!!!!

I still cannt convince myself that it is worth 100 bucks....

My alarm goes off at 7:20, 7:30, and 7:40 for my 8AM class. And I try everything I can to be in the classroom by 7:55... I just have to run across a field to class :)

If it gets your butt out of bed in time for class, it kind of pays for itself. But that's if you really can't get up a cheaper way.

I'm an incredibly heavy sleeper, so much so that my roommate chewed me out a few times for sleeping through my alarm for half-hour stretches. For actually waking up, I find that the vibrating alarm clocks are great. It wakes me up every single time, and it lets my roomie get her beauty sleep even when I have classes before she does.

It doesn't help with the snooze button syndrome, though. I'm still trying to figure that one out myself. About the only thing that can actually pull me out of bed is looking at the clock and realizing that my class starts in seven minutes.

I skip my first class so much, I can't even recall the professor's name...

If it takes you more than 30 mins to reach campus you should live in the dorms. Makes sleeping and getting on time much easier.

Luckly I've only had a few 9am classes and no 8 am. It doesnt matter if my class is 12am, i can still be lazy enough to be late to it cuz if i have 12am class tommo than i wont sleep till 2-3am.

I will set my alarm time before half an hour from the time i should getup and get ready, so that i could wakeup at the correct time.

i set my ihome the night before.. a different song everyday. i have to stand completely up to reach it so that kinda wakes me up at first. then i leave my phone on vibrate and set that alarm for 6/7 minutes later. taking a shower also helps/washing your face right away. and the person who said rewarding yourself with naps later in the day helps is absolutely right.

i have to get up at 6:45 MW and 8 on TTH and i am NOT a morning person at all. i only get 5-6 hrs of sleep those nights but usually take naps during hte day and sleep until 2pm on fridays because i have no class. its terrible and i usually have no energy to do hw but thats just the way my sched had to work this semester..

haha i dont know if those would work but it sure sounds like it

heh, usually 8:50... Last semester I was lucky, I got up at 9:30 most days

The alarm clock across the room thing is the best. It worked well this year to get me up for 6 AM workouts for my sport. I would come back after those though to sleep on my futon with only my phone alarm set so I would oversleep my 9:30 class sometimes o.O
