It is true of course that the more you write, the higher your score tends to be. That said, the ACT provides 5 pages to be filled in 30 minutes, which is way out of my range of 2 pages in that same time.

So, how do you write a quality paper that is 5 pages (or even 4, for that matter) long in only 30 minutes?

You don’t. If you can write a good 2, or even 3 page essay, you are set for a good score. Length does matter but not to that extent. That being said, if you can write a good 5 page essay, then props to you.

That is actually around 6 minutes per page which is hard to write taking the fact that you have to think and write smart not long

Obviously, it’s better to write less but say more. However, if you can write 4/5 pages, it greatly differentiates you from others. But, it’s like impossible to fill up 5 pages in 30 minutes.

I wrote 4 pages and 1 line, and it was not easy. It takes a lot of practice to be able to just write without really thinking. Furthermore, if you really want to write more, you won’t be able to check your essay for punctuation, grammar along at the end (to save time), so it adds another degree of difficulty.

The only possible way I can think of that would allow someone to write a quality five page essay is if they have very large handwriting. Also, they probably allow this amount of space just to ensure that no one has to cut their essay short. I know that whenever I have to do state/district writing tests, I’m always cutting my essays short because they only provide two pages.

@alex thanks, I guess quality over quantity makes more sense.
