How do you...

sign up for Fiat Luxes if you're not a freshman?

Just wait until they open, which I think is September 1st

2nd pass. 10char

What exactly are fiat luxe classes?

1 unit seminars that meet sparingly throughout the quarter (could be weekly/biweekly). Courses can include topics basically anything that is imaginable.

Is it a more lenient class with less grading and more discussion? Ty!

Has anyone taken any and which ones did you enjoy?

It’s a pass/fail class. If you do the work and show up you will pass.

I took two last year, one on education and one on religion and enjoyed both of them greatly. Think of them as a way to explore an interest without the pressure to get a good grade. You’re learning just to learn. My advice is to look first for ones that look interesting and then read reviews on bruinwalk to see if the professor is any good.

Sounds cool…I just read this: Note: Units earned in Fiat Lux seminars do not count toward the College’s 216 maximum unit limit. Units do count toward Minimum Progress and Expected Cumulative Progress.

What does that exactly mean? So you can take these even after you’ve reach the max limit of units, but they do count as units if you haven’t reached the max unit count?

They count as units

They count toward ECP

They don’t count toward the unit cap
