This might be an incredibly trivial question, but today I had a chance to see my unofficial transcript online, and it turns out my school ridiculously abbreviates class names on our transcript. It isn't too much of a problem with my science classes, but with the social science classes, it's pretty bad. To give a few examples, Evolutionary Moral Foundations was abbreviated as "Evo moral found," Reality of Gender Discrimination and Equality as "Rlty of gndr discrimntn and eqlty." I remember someone telling me that along with a transcript sent, on the AMCAS you put down the classes yourself, so I was wondering if I'll have the chance to write out the actual names on my application so they can be understood by those who will see it. Can anyone verify this?

Yes you input classes yourself on AMCAS, however you must copy them letter for letter from your transcript or the AMCAS verifier will be forced to do it class by class, which will delay verification from its already ridiculous wait. But don't worry, thats how everyone's classes are on their transcripts. Its not going to put you at a disadvantage or anything.
