Im getting really confused.How do you score your tests?is every scoring table the same for every test?what do you mean by scaled scores…eg. the scaled score for a raw score of 54 in critical reading is 620-700 according to pg 995 of the blue book…now what’s my score? is it 620?something between 620 and 700?
I always found it annoying when they gave you a score range for a raw score instead of a specific score. Yes, it does mean that your score is between 620 and 700. If you want a single score, then just average the two. (620+700)/2 = 660. So your CR score should be around 660. Some tests do give you a specific score instead of a score range, so no, not all of them are the same. The scaled score depends on how well other people who took the test performed. However, them providing you with a score range tells me that they have not collected enough data related to the test to provide customers with a single scaled score.
