Would they count towards GPA? Never had to take calculus classes in college so I’m wondering if I’m just omitted from having those involved in my grade at all? I know it differs between school, but I’m wondering how it would be reported from the AMCAS application. Thanks!
AP/IB credits are not included in GPA calculations (because you haven’t actually earned a grade). But AP credits–if they appear on your college transcript – must be included on your AMCAS/AACOMAS application.

Some but not all med schools will accept AP/IB credits to fulfill admission requirements. Be sure to check MSAR to see what med school accept AP credit and for which requirements.
They show up on the transcript as a course without a grade and are not part of the GPA calculation.
Re: #3
Looks like the most common type of notations about AP credit in that summary sheet are:
- No specific notation about AP credit.
- More advanced course work in the subject area where AP credit was used is encouraged or required.
- AP credit not accepted, but no mention of whether student is expected to repeat AP credit or can take more advanced course work in substitution.
@bopper - List seems to be outdated. For example, UCLA says from 2018, AP credits are acceptable.
