How does an applicant get an academic 1 rating in the humanities?

According to the recent lawsuit, it has been revealed that an academic 1 rating entails demonstrating evidence of substantial scholarship and academic creativity. I can see how this applies to STEM fields, but what about the humanities?

A classics major with 4 years of Greek and Latin along with outside activities showing an interest and proficiently in the field would be a academic 1 as an example. I’ve seen a number of them.

Thanks for the input cptofthehouse! Any other ideas for, say, potential literature and history majors at Harvard?

I would not worry about getting this rating. Just continue pursuing your interests and talents and apply to a range of schools that will be a good fit for you.
