How does AP credits play a part in transfer credits

I saw a couple threads answering part of my questions however I thought that transfers were by GPA and Credits. If the max is 4.0, how would I achieve a 4.0 with my AP credits ( 3 WH, 3 ENG Comp, planned 3+ Calc AB, 3+ Econ, 3+ Physics, 3+ English Lit)?

Just saying, it'd be nice to transfer in a year/ or 2 with less classes.

AP credits do not get grades and are not used in calculating GPA for which they will only use your college courses. AP credits just count towards total hours completed in college. Example if you have 12 AP credit hours and then take 30 hours first year of college and get all A’s, your GPA is 4 based on those 30 hours but total hours completed is 42 for purpose of any transfer. Nevertheless depending on college, the new college might not accept a particular AP credit for transfer, e.g., its rule is that you need at least a 4 in physics for credit and you only had a three which was OK for initial college but not accepted by the new college.

Please read the policies carefully for the college where you want to apply. Some colleges require that a minimum of X credits be completed on their campus - so all credits earned at another college and AP must be under that number in order to count.
