How does Boston University calculate GPA's?

Where I live most schools don’t calculate +'s and -'s but I can’t find it on BU’s website. Thanks!

They don’t recalculate, but they do differentiate

sorry, does that mean that they’ll take whatever my high school does but will also take note of weather +'s and -'s are being counted? I’m asking because my already fairly low gpa would drop out of reach if you calculated with minus’s. Thanks!

Most schools don’t look at GPA. They actually look at your transcript to see how you’ve done. For example, AP Bio and AP Environmental Science both give you a grade bump. However, the latter is a “lite” AP and would be weighted less heavily. Also, if you’ve been getting A-'s across the board, that will be viewed differently as getting all A’s. STILL, A-'s aren’t going to be a HUGE deal.

I’d say that having all A’s (maybe 1-2 A-'s from 9 to first semester 12 grade would be pretty impressive. While all A-'s would still be fine, it just might not be a huge “plus” factor. You know?

Yeah I got ya. Thanks.
