How Does BU calculated unweighted/weighted GPA?

Every university seems to do it differently. Does it include freshman year? Does it include senior first semester? How many classes can be given the AP/honors bump? Does it look at pluses and minuses?

According to the BU admissions rep I talked to last year they look at the unweighted GPA and then take course load into account. They look at the number of honors, AP, and Advanced classes to try to put your uw GPA into perspective.

Does that unweighted GPA include freshman year, senior first semester, pluses and minuses?

They look at everything, but place most weight on junior and first semester senior year grades.

Is there a separate form where we enter the grades we received for each course (I don’t see one on the common application) or does BU want us to send in a transcript along with our application (some schools only want the transcript after admission…)?

Your school should send your transcript directly to BU and they will take all the information they want from it.
