The major that you apply with has nothing to do with whether or not your credits transfer. That is determined by a different office entirely.
If you have credits that apply for a different major, and you switch to that major, the credits will apply.
What matters is that you pay close attention to this. For example, if you have 66. total transferrable credits, and the college only accepts a maximum of 60, the specific courses that you ask to be included among the credits transferred might be different depending on your particular major. In that case, if you were to change your major, you might need to go back to the credit office and ask them to swap out a course that applied to the first major, and include instead a course that applies to the second major.
