Does it work in alphabetical order by last name?? </p>
<p>I'm curious because I wanted to know if there are strategies from getting the classes you want. and how hard is it to get classes?</p>
<p>neither, it’s by how many units you have. although i’ve heard that if you have under 45 units it’s random.
the more units you have the earlier your enrollment window. however, athletes, CHP members, and regents scholars have priority enrollment on the first day.</p>
<p>it can be pretty difficult to get classes that you want, especially those easy GE classes. however, for classes that are generally meant to be taken by freshman, they tend to leave a certain amount seats for Freshmen.</p>
<p>if you can get on the waitlist, do it. it’s surprising how much you can move up and actually get into a class through waitlist.</p>
<p>as for coming into UCI as a new freshman, make sure you go to an earlier SPOP. you register for classes according to your SPOP date, so if you go to a later one that screws you over for classes.</p>
