I am getting really confusing how does college determine where are you come form. The birth place? The school address? The home address?

You are being really confusing. lol.

Some college application forms ask about all those things. But why do you ask? What difference do you think it will make to you?

B/c geographic distribution of student body plays a role in the admissions process, they’ll look at where you are from now, not your birth place or school address (if you’re at say a boarding school). Remember, all else being equal it’s better to be from Montana, than Stamford, CT.

I still don’t get it…

Where are you applying to go to college? Have you looked at the application forms?

The app. forms have fields asking for home address, school address, place of birth, etc.

They look at your home adress? What don’t you get about it lol?
