How does Cornell notify applicants if they are admitted or not?

Email? Or do you check your application status and find out? Or both?

I’m pretty sure you check your application status on that website. Do you know when ED admissions results will come out?

December 15. They post your admissions decision on your applicant ID site thing. I don’t know if you have to click on a link that goes to the letter, or something happens like a huge “CONGRATULATIONS” pops up as soon as you log on

It lags a lot during the first few hours (5pm was when they came out for my year) when everyone is trying to access their decision on the website. I gave up and went on at 9pm that night with no problems

They scan a copy of your notification letter (which you receive a few days later via mail) . We had no trouble getting in at 5 PM Eastern.

So we do use the applicant ID site. Thanks. I was confused because someone from last year mentioned that you get a PIN number “days before the decision is made”. I hope the results come out earlier, like they did last year! I’m praying for admission :)

They came out earlier then the intended date last year? :o

Yeah, December 9 instead of December 15. I really hope that’s the case this year!

I bet it’s Thursday, Dec. 8, or Thursday, Dec. 15. They post results online at 5 p.m. EST, when the office has left for the day. Admissions is then closed until Monday morning (cooling off period, I guess).
